If you ask me, there’s nothing better than snuggling under a cozy blanket while watching a movie & drinking hot chocolate.
I might be a bit biased, though… that was my childhood. My little sister and I would walk to the local library to rent a movie, come home, get in our pajamas, make hot chocolate, and chill on the couch.
Back then, I had no idea that I could make my own hot chocolate (but I’m sure if I did I wouldn’t have – instant hot chocolate was quick & easy).
I’m not an instant hot chocolate girl anymore, though. The ingredients in a package of Swiss Milk Milk Chocolate make me a little sick to my stomach (so much sugar, milk, & other ingredients that I’m not a huge fan of).
Plus, dairy and I don’t get along – I tend to avoid it at all costs.
I was craving peppermint hot chocolate the other day and decided to get crafty.
The first time I made this I didn’t put enough peppermint extract in the mix. It was okay, of course, but I didn’t want regular hot chocolate – I wanted peppermint!
The second time I added way too much peppermint extract. I couldn’t drink it, it was far too overpowering.
The third time? Just right. In fact, I’d even say that this peppermint hot chocolate is perfect and blows your average cup of hot chocolate out of the water.
But don’t take my word for it – try it for yourself!
