Peanut butter & jelly sandwiches are, in my eyes, one of the best sandwich combinations.
They’re quick to make, can be crunchy or creamy, and are jam-packed (pun totally intended).
Right now, it’s time for a new star to shine…
The peanut butter & jelly acai bowl!
Acai bowls are customizable, full of flavor, and leave you satisfied for a few hours!
What the Heck Is Acai?
Acai (pronounced ah-sigh-ee) is a deep purple berry that has less sugar than your typical fruit!
Acai berries are packed with antioxidants, fiber, heart-healthy fats, and calcium. They’re commonly referred to as “superfoods” because of this!
Acai berries can be found in soda, juice, natural food colorings, and more! Pretty cool, eh?
Making Your Own Acai Bowl
Acai bowls have pretty much taken over our Instagram feeds (they’re beautiful, who wouldn’t want to share them?) and at first glance, they can look pretty intimidating.
They’re beyond easy to make, though – and you don’t have to be a professional food stylist to make them look pretty!
For this acai bowl, I used a frozen acai packet, frozen raspberries and frozen bananas, hemp seeds, oat milk, peanut butter, granola, peanuts, and fresh raspberries.
You can make this bowl with a number of different fruits, though – I’m a huge fan of raspberry jelly so raspberries were my first choice. However, strawberries, blueberries, or even mixed berries would be delicious!
The toppings can be played with too, of course! Chia seeds, toasted coconut flakes, chocolate chips, whatever you want 🙂
See what I mean? Super freaking simple (and delicious).
If peanut butter isn’t your thing you can use any other type of nut butter, it’ll still be delicious!
Tip – If you want to drizzle peanut butter on top as I did, I suggest using creamy peanut butter (or melting crunchy peanut butter so it’s smooth enough to work with).

It’s peanut butter jelly time!! Acai bowl style, that is. This delicious breakfast will have your taste buds singing all day long.
For the Acai Bowl:
- 1 Packet Frozen Acai
- 1 1/2 Frozen Banans
- 1 Cup Frozen Raspberries
- 1/2 Cup Oat Milk
- 2 TBSP Hemp Seeds
- 2 TBSP Peanut Butter
For the Toppings:
- Unsalted Peanuts
- Fresh Raspberries
- Drizzled Peanut Butter
- Add all ingredients in a blender and mix until fully combined.
- Place in a bowl, add toppings, and server immediately! 🙂
